Ann Burnett has written over 100 scripts for BBC Children's radio and TV programmes.She also wrote Postman Pat stories for a comic for every week for five years, using as her inspiration whatever the kids got up to and where they went.

She has published articles in The Observer, My Weekly, Healthy Way, Expose, Scottish Memories and The (Glasgow) Herald.

Her short stories have appeared in New Writing Scotland, My Weekly, The Weekly News and That's Life (Australia).

She has a Master's degree in Creative Writing from Glasgow University and self-published the novel (Loving Mother)she wrote as part of the course. It's now available as an ebook along with two collections of her children's stories.

She is currently Joint President of Ayr Writers' club, one of the biggest in Scotland, and last year won 4 trophies and 7 certificates in their competitions.

She was a runner-up in the Independent/Scholastic Story of the Year competition and has won prizes and commendations at the Scottish Association of Writers' Annual Weekend conferences.

Sometimes, I tutor classes in Creative Writing for Glasgow University's adult education programme.

I love travel and in my younger days, we worked in Canada and Australia. Nw, we try to visit as often as we can and keep in touch with all our friends there.
